Ji's Cake Boutique is owned by Patissier & Pastry Chef Jiyeon Kang. Ji specializes in creating custom cakes to your design. She uses only the finest ingredients from local sources and ensures her cakes and specialty pastries are unique in design and flavor.
Ji specializes in custom-crafted birthday cakes, wedding cakes, all occasional cakes, desserts, pastries and so many mouthwatering delights. Not settling for anything you would find in your local market, Ji has created a collection tools and resources from around the world to ensure you are receiving the very best flavors and looks to accentuate her artful and tasty designs.
Ji is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and since graduating has worked as a Pastry Chef in some of the most prestigious and glorious hotels in America. She was the Wedding Cake Specialist at such esteemed properties as The Ritz-Carlton in Florida and California. She also worked at the Four-Season Hotel in Newport Beach, The Pacific Palms Conference Resort, The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and eventually found herself blending her culinary passion with her passion for
education.
Chef Kang started her career as an educator in Baking & Pastry as she worked for the Art Institute of California, Los Angeles and Orange County and is currently a chef educator with Long Beach City College. For over a decade she has been perfecting her own skills while training thousands of others to work in the field she loves so much.
Chef Kang founded Ji’s Cake Boutique in 2007 and has continued to amaze her clients with gourmet cakes and artistic designs matched by no other. Recently, Ji moved to Orange County and is now expanding her small operation and introducing the OC to her stylistic and flavorful designs.
